“The decision was primarily sales driven,” said Klassen of his preferred choice. “People like the look and feel of natural gas appliances — they’re a popular option for buyers.”

“The fireplaces really add a look of comfort to the interior of the units and the roof looks more homey with a chimney or two,” Klassen said.

 

Klassen also pre-piped the single and split-level units for natural gas during construction. When buyers move in, it’s a simple process to purchase natural gas appliances through quick-connect outlets.

Klassen makes regular requests to Terasen Gas to bring gas service into his units. “They’ve always been reasonable and accommodating,” he said. “They meet our deadlines and there’s no major delay. It’s always a smooth process.”
