New construction and major renovation projects need upfront planning to make the jobs run smoothly. Planning your new gas service, alternation or conversion is part of that process.
To speed up processing of your construction order, please ensure that you are the registered owner of the property requiring work.

To order gas services, follow these steps:
- Submit an application
Download our gas service application in Word (307 KB) or PDF (169 KB) and submit it by phone, fax , mail, or e-mail.

Include the following when you submit your application:
- the quantity and type of gas appliances to be connected,
- your inlet delivery pressure, and
- the name and phone number of your heating contractor.
- Coordinate with Terasen Gas
After we receive your application, a Terasen Gas install coordinator will contact you with immediate pricing for routine jobs, automated processing and scheduling capability.
If you are requesting service for a commercial project or subdivision, you must provide a detailed site plan. Each meter set needs a separate identifiable civic address.
- Prepare the site
Before we can install service, you'll need to prepare the site for installation:
- clear trees, brush, dirt piles, building materials and other obstructions from the right of way and service/trench route - allow three metres (10 feet) of clearance for equipment
- identify your property boundaries with stakes or flags
- identify buildings and mark meter locations
- show future building plans such as decks, patios, landscaping or fencing that might interfere with the location of your natural gas installation
- mark the location of underground facilities or expose them by hand

To have a new or additional gas service line installed, submit your completed application form by phone, fax, mail or email.
We will then contact you with a price quote and review the service agreement for your approval.
