CUSTOMER CHOICE can help you find the energy solution that best suits your business.
You can source your gas commodity from either Terasen Gas or a gas marketer. It's similar to the way customers can buy their long distance telephone service from a variety of providers.
Independent gas marketers provide a variety of pricing options and allow you to lock in at a fixed rate for terms ranging from one to five years.
Are you eligible?
CUSTOMER CHOICE is open to Terasen Gas Rate 2, Rate 3 and Rate 23 commercial customers in the Lower Mainland and Interior. The program isn't available to commercial customers in Fort Nelson and Revelstoke.
Why switch to an independent gas marketer?
Gas marketers are able to offer different commodity prices over different time periods that take into consideration a customer's unique gas consumption needs.
Making an informed decision
Once you sign a contract with a gas marketer:
- You'll be locked into an agreed upon set of terms and conditions.
- You won't be able to break the contract easily or cheaply.
Be sure you understand your contractual obligations and read the fine print before you sign on the dotted line.
Changed your mind?
If you have second thoughts after you sign up, don't worry. Simply call your gas marketer to cancel your contract within ten days from the date you signed up. Gas marketers are required to provide a 10-day "cooling off" period during which you can cancel the contract.
