Natural gas vehicle grants

For Lower Mainland, Squamish and Interior businesses only

Purchase and conversion grants

You may be eligible for a Terasen Gas promotional grant.

You may put this grant towards one of the following:

the purchase of a factory-built natural gas vehicle; or
the conversion of a vehicle (five years old or newer) to natural gas that meets federal emissions and air quality requirements.

The amount of the grant would not exceed $10 per gigajoule, based on estimated consumption over a one-year period, up to a maximum total grant by vehicle type as listed below.

Note: You may be eligible for this grant provided you purchase the natural gas to power a vehicle or fleet from refueling stations in Terasen Gas' Lower Mainland service area.

Special demonstration project grants

Terasen Gas may also fund special Demonstration Project grants at its discretion.

The amount of the special demonstration project grant will not exceed the premium cost for the natural gas option for the vehicle. The total funds paid out under this grant will not exceed $100,000 in any one year.
