For industrial customers on an interruptible natural gas transportation rate – rates 7, 27, 22, 22A or 22B
Curtailment status
Updated as of Monday, January 5, 2009.
Currently the likelihood of curtailment in British Columbia is medium. Though the Lower Mainland has received a fair share of snow over the past week or more, temperatures are expected to remain above or hover around the zero mark this week.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding curtailment, please contact Kevin Hodgins at (604) 592-7991 or Shantel Fedyna (604) 592-7996.
Background
Interruption of service due to operational or weather related system constraints is at Terasen Gas' discretion.
With a minimum of two hours notice, customers on interruptible transportation rates can be required to stop using natural gas and switch to an alternate energy source.
