This seasonal rate is intended for large commercial or institutional accounts that use gas only during the summer months (e.g. municipal pools, water-slides and summer agricultural crops). The rate structure consists of a fixed Basic Monthly Charge that is applicable only to billing periods when gas is consumed. In addition, there are variable charges for each GJ of gas, which are based on the time of year that it is consumed. These variable charges are for delivery of the gas (also called transportation), and for the commodity (the gas consumed).

 

The service is intended for summer use only, and customers using Rate 4 gas in the winter will be charged a substantial premium. Rate 4 is authorized by written contract only, and specific terms and conditions may apply.
