Transportation service rates
Lower Mainland / Squamish, East Kootenays, and Interior customers only
Customers with a minimum annual consumption of 2,000 gigajoules (GJ) or more may choose to purchase their natural gas commodity from a separate, independent supplier called a gas marketer.
In this case:
- the commodity (natural gas) is purchased through and billed directly by the gas marketer, according to the terms of the contract between the customer and the gas marketer.
- the delivery of the natural gas (also called transportation) to your business through our distribution system is covered by your contract with Terasen Gas.
Note: Transportation service rate customers have two contracts:
- one with their chosen gas marketer for the commodity, and
- one with Terasen Gas for the delivery of the gas.
There are four classes of transportation service rates

| Rate 25 - General Firm Transportation Service | 6,000 GJ or more |
