We have arranged the secure internet payment service, provided by Caledon Card Services, as a convenience to save you time and worry. Caledon Card Services will assure your credit and personal information is kept secure and never at risk. As such, this payment option carries a service charge, as per the schedule below. Terasen Gas does not receive any part of this service fee

Once you have successfully completed a transaction, you will get a six-digit confirmation number. Please note the confirmation number for future reference.

Data transmitted over the internet is generally unsecure and at risk of exposure. However, the secure internet payment solution provided by Caledon Card Services assures that your personal and financial information is collected, transmitted, processed, and stored safely. To ensure such, Caledon Card Services annually validates its security compliance (via an external/approved Auditor) to PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards. The cost of maintaining this secure internet payment mechanism, compliance to all credit card requirements, and administration of such is significant; this minor service fee is to support this. The service fee is separated into a convenience service fee and a handling fee as per the schedule below.

 

The fees are intended to help pay the high costs of maintaining a secure Internet payment mechanism, the infrastructure/technology to support such, and ensuring your financial/personal data is kept secure at all times.

 

The convenience service and handling fees for each transaction are based on the amount of your payment as per the fee schedule below. For each transaction under $100, a $3 fee is applied. For payments greater than $100, an additional handling fee of $2.45 per hundred dollars is applied. For example, if your payment amount is between $100 and $200, you pay the $3 convenience fee and the $2.45 handling fee, and your total processing fee would be $5.45.
