History of natural gas
Did you know?
In 200 B.C. the Chinese used natural gas to make salt from brine in gas-fired evaporators.
In the nineteenth century gas was used extensively in Europe and North America to light city streets, homes and businesses.
One of the most famous legends about natural gas originated in Greece approximately 1,000 B.C. A herdsman discovered a burning spring on the mountain. A temple was built on that spot and the priestess, Oracle of Delphi, spoke of prophecies inspired by the burning spring.
