Our very thorough on-going maintenance program and long-term planning efforts, allow us to anticipate and prepare for increased customer demand, new technologies, and pipeline upgrades.
When planning our maintenance and upgrade projects, we are careful to ensure that disruptions to local communities are kept to a minimum.
Current projects
- Castlegar
Pipeline over the Columbia River is being replaced with one under the river. - Fraser River Project
- Vancouver Island
Terasen Gas is constructing a new natural gas storage facility west of Mt. Hayes, approximately six kilometres northwest of Ladysmith.
- Whistler
Terasen Gas successfully built a natural gas pipeline between Squamish and Whistler to meet growing demand for energy in the resort municipality.

Terasen Gas intends to issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for two separate studies to interested research companies.
