BC Bioenergy Network Establishes MOU with Terasen Gas
VANCOUVER, BC – The BC Bioenergy Network (BCBN) and Terasen Gas today announced they have entered into a strategic agreement to further the development and commercialization of bioenergy technologies in British Columbia.
Under the terms of the agreement, the BCBN and Terasen Gas have agreed to cooperate together to increase understanding of bioenergy opportunities in BC, increase the number and success of investment opportunities for common projects, and potentially to leverage funding for projects that advance the bioenergy objectives of each organization.
"We are committed to supporting innovative solutions like this that will help Nanaimo convert landfill waste to clean energy," said Blair Lekstrom, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources. "These types of partnerships demonstrate British Columbia's leadership in clean, renewable energy while reducing emissions and creating new jobs."
