Terasen offers billing services for blind and visually impaired customers
SURREY, B.C. - Terasen today announced another communication option for its blind and visually-impaired customers that will offer greater independence in reading monthly statements. Large print billing statements are available for customers who require and request this service.
“Taking care of the needs of our customers is a vital part of our business,” said Doug Stout, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, Terasen Gas. “We are constantly striving to find ways to improve our services, and with this new option, we can enhance the independence for those customers with visual disabilities.”
The large print billing option complements the existing Braille service that is available for blind customers. Terasen also follows W3C accessibility guidelines allowing for easier access to web content for customers with disabilities. In addition, customers have the option to resize their online statements or to call if they wish to discuss their billing with a Terasen representative.
Customers with visual disabilities can request the large print service by calling the Terasen Customer Service Centre toll free number 1-888-224-2710.
