Planning for the future
To serve a continually growing number of customers, we must ensure that we have the necessary resources in place for our natural gas transmission and distribution systems. To do so, we conduct resource planning on an ongoing basis. Through resource planning we:
- examine trends and developments in energy production, delivery and consumption, and
- assess actions utilities should take to provide the best possible service to customers over the long-term.
Long term resource planning (LTRP)
Long term resource planning looks ahead at the future. We find out what our customers energy needs are and determine how we can best secure reliable, cost-effective energy resources to meet those needs, today and in the future.
Energy efficiency & conservation planning (EEC)
Terasen Gas has a history of efficiency and conservation activities. Our commitment is to develop a long-term and sustainable energy conservation strategy and monitor the impact this will have on future infrastructure requirements in the LTRP.
Northwest Gas Association (NWGA)
Terasen Gas is a member of the Northwest Gas Association (NWGA), a trade organization serving the Pacific Northwest natural gas industry. The NWGA provides an industry perspective on the region’s current and projected natural gas demand, supply, delivery capabilities and prices.
